About the Role

1. Management of the IPR authorization:
   1. Ensure use of existing authorization is maximized.
   2. Management of the broker to ensure timely and accurate declarations.
   3. Ensuring records are maintained and accurate
   4. Monitoring broker for accuracy and liaising to manage the risk for Gulfstream
   5. Maintenance of internal tracking system and regular reporting
2. Compliance checks on import and export entries
   1. Ensuring all import and export entries are obtained and retained
   2. Set up and maintain a system of checks on the accuracy of entries made
   3. Ensure all corrections are made in a timely manner
3. Ownership of HTS codes in Farnborough
   1. Regular checks on the accuracy of the HTS records in Farnborough
   2. Checks with suppliers to confirm accuracy of HTS codes
   3. Rulings sought where required
4. ECCN and export control management
   1. Working with the relevant teams in Gulfstream and suppliers to ensure all goods are correctly classified
   2. Ensuring current database is up to date
   3. Management of licence applications and returns
5. Support for implementation of CBAM in the UK
   1. General understanding of the principles of CBAM
   2. Ensuring the business has adequate records to implement CBAM
6. General support to the Senior Compliance Officer
   1. Support to AEO application
   2. Supporting and confirming claims for origin
   3. Training of various teams in Gulfstream
   4. Reporting on savings made
   5. Support on applications for duty reliefs

Supervision of Specialists

Shift: Monday through Friday

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. experience in trade compliance.

Position Purpose :

Supporting the Senior Compliance Officer, manage, develop, and integrate day to day Trade Compliance matters within Gulfstream. Take ownership of compliance at a daily level within the Farnborough office and provide effective management to the team members.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

1. Management of the IPR program. Ensuring existing program is maximized and compliant.
2. Compliance checks on all entries. Establishing and maintaining a system of checks .
3. Ownership of HTS codes in the UK. Regular checks on accuracy and ensuring all gaps are closed .
4. ECCN and export control management. Working with relevant teams to ensure correct export classification .
5. Support on implementation of CBAM in UK .
6. General support to Senior Compliance Officer .
7. Management of two compliance specialists .

Additional Functions:

1. Additional functions will be dictated by the specific responsibilities of the position. .

Perform other duties as assigned.

Other Requirements:

1. Ability to effectively learn and operate within Gulfstream enterprise systems, web-based applications and 3rd party productivity software, including, but not limited to: SAP, GTS, CAS, Corridor, Oracle, Sales Logix, Livelink, P-DocM, Cognos, SmarTeam, Visual Compliance, CMP.Net , Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Projects, IPC, Adobe suite.
2. Excellent understanding of all relevant Customs regulations.
3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
4. Applicant must demonstrate organizational and critical thinking skill.
