Dear Coronation Singers
One door closes…
We hope this email finds you all well. As you have likely heard, the parish board has unfortunately decided to terminate Andre’s contract as choir director at the Church of Our Saviour. His last Sunday with the choir will be 30th June.
When one door closes, another opens
The good news is that we have decided to start a new choir! This choir will not be associated with the parish as such although many members of the new choir will probably originate from the church. The new choir will be the Music Matters International Choir and our aim is to bring music directly to people because we feel that music matters. Our plan is to sing at retirement homes, hospitals and other social outreach venues. We also hope to organise concerts, similar to the Mozart Coronation Mass concert.
New choir info
It is in the capacity that we are writing to you today. At the bottom of this page you will find a link and a QR code with more information about the new choir. (Accessing this page does NOT commit you to joining the new choir).
Contingency fund
As you may remember from the last email we sent you, we retained a small contingency fund from the profit we made with the concert. We kept this amount aside as a start up for our next project, which we had intended to be in November this year. Now that things have changed somewhat, we would like to use this money to help start up the new choir. We need a website, music, rehearsal space etc. It goes without saying that if you are not happy about this idea, we are willing to return your share of the profit to your personal account (15, – p.p.).
Should you have any questions about any of the above, please contact Helena, Andre, Catia or Martin Geldermans directly.
Any questions, suggestions and/or remarks can be done directly through choir@musicmatterschoir.nl
