Warning! Big email with lots of info!

Dear Singers. Please scroll down and read all the information

Rehearsals: Last night’s rehearsal was awesome! We managed to sing the whole piece, although for me it was evident that I need to practise more ๐Ÿ™‚ The altos have arranged an extra rehearsal for themselves this coming Wednesday, 1st November at 19.30 in the atrium (without Andre or Misaki). Perhaps the other voice groups might want to do the same? We only have 2 more rehearsals (7th & 22nd) before the dress rehearsal with the soloists on the day itself.

Dresscode for the concert: The dress code for the concert us black with gold. Ladies; full length skirts, dresses or trousers please! I am hoping the shawls will arrive early next week. I will now order the gold bowties/ties for the gents to choose from. The shawls work out at 5.90 euro pp; the bowties are 5.90 and the ties are 8.50 each. Could Jurjen, Gee & Christopher please let me know which they would prefer? Payment for these articles can be made to me directly (cash/tikkie) at the next rehearsal.

Streaming/video: As mentioned last night, we are hoping to offer a livestream of the concert to our sponsors who cannot attend. We are also hoping to video the concert. More details on that to follow later.

Finances: Almost all of the singers have managed to pay/raise their 100 pp contribution. If you have not yet done so, can you please make your contribution now. We have 4 singers on contract and other expenses to meet. Ticket sales are going well but we still need your help to fill the church for the evening. Any profit from the evening will go the parish.

Format of the day: Rehearsal together with the soloists will be from 15.00-18.00 in the church. The choir loft (above the main entrance) will be available to hang up your clothes (we will have racks) and we will dress there around 19.00. We will make sure the space is locked so you can leave your belongings there during the concert. The doors will open at 19.00 and the Christmas market, Christmas pies, coffee tasting will commence. The market will close at 19.45 and we will re-assemble up in the loft to make our grand entrance together (more details later). After the concert, the wine and whisky tasting will be open and the market will re-open. The whisky tasting is courtesy of Eugene! Thanks Eugene! You cannot buy the whisky; it’s just a sampler. Our license does not allow us to sell spirits. You will be able to try and buy bottles of the delicious Portuguese wines.

Food & drinks: Between 18.00 -19.00 the singers will have time to eat and I ask that everyone brings a dish/plate to share. We should be able to use the fridges in the kitchen and possibly the cooker but everything needs to be cleared by 18.50 due to a private rental. I will get back to you with more detail on that later.

Photos: Thanks to all of you that have sent in photos of you rehearsing. It seems many of us are multi-taskers ๐Ÿ™‚ If you still want to send in a photo, please just email it to me or Andre or send it by whatsapp. We would like to make a collage of all the photos.

If you have any comments or questions, please just speak to either Andre or me ir drop us an email.

Kind regards

Helena

  1. Hi team,
Several of my friends have notified me tonight (Oct 31st), they cannot buy tickets on our Mozart Coronation event website. Can someone take a look into this please?
Hope we can solve this soon! ๐Ÿ™‚
    Thank you,
    Ivรกn
